MEET SARA FURGESON, LLMSW, QMHP

Let’s find your true and authentic self.

Sara is currently accepting new clients - evening and weekend appointments available.

There once was a time when you didn’t feel tired, stressed, and lost… but sometimes it feels like those days are gone forever. Are you looking for a way to get back to those “old days”?

You’ve come to the right place.

I’m Sara Furgeson, and I help people find who they truly are and work to change the parts that don’t align with that truth. I help individuals who are burnt out from prioritizing and pleasing others all day, who are scared to look at who they really are and live to that truth. But we can do this scary, but oh-so-rewarding work together.

I help my clients find confidence, happiness, and fulfillment by equipping them with the tools they need to better understand themselves and one another.

Reach out today to start chatting about how we can work together to reveal the best version of you. You already have all the tools and abilities to be your best self within you, I will help you discover, shape, and celebrate those things.

My style

I am dedicated to helping people grow their self-awareness and acceptance.

As a clinician, I believe it is important to guide people through their journey as they need support. I don’t expect you to show up any certain way in my office. It took a lot of courage and determination for you to find your way here, and I look forward to being able to help you build on that strength and desire for change.

You already took the hard step of deciding to change and seek support in this journey by looking for a therapist, I am honored to help you walk this path using my many years of experience. While I have well-developed skills in the area of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing (MI), and many others - we will work to create a plan that works for you and is made just for you! My biggest strength as a therapist is to make sure you feel seen and heard in every session in my office and that starts with supporting you, while also sprinkling in some skill building and increased awareness along the way.

My guiding principles

Authenticity

I will be non-judgmental and accepting of however you show up in sessions, while encouraging change and growth when needed.

Autonomy

While it is my job to help you along the path, it is your right to define that path you will take.

Accountability

Intentions are important, but following through on set goals and expectations is a key aspect of how I can support you.
